School Social Worker
Hello! My name is Britt Rosenquist and I am a school social worker at GWHS. I was born and raised outside of Chicago. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Social Work in Wichita Falls, Texas. I then moved back to Chicago and pursued a Masters in Social Work. I have worked in schools with grades Kindergarten-12th grade and I truly enjoy working with high schoolers to help them navigate the many challenges they may experience as they become young adults. At GWHS, I work with students individually to support them with their academics/mental health, participate in the Gay Straight Alliance, lead peer mediations, work with families to connect them with community resources, am a part of the attendance team, and consult with staff. This year, I will also be leading support groups such as self esteem and anger management. I am passionate about ensuring that all students have access to receiving general education and eliminating barriers that prevent them from doing so.
