GEORGE GIVES

GW is helping needy students and families right here in our own GW community. There are many students and families who are struggling and need help making ends meet.

We are asking GW families to donate now – and throughout the year – to George Gives so that we can help these families. We are in need of gift cards to Safeway, King Soopers, Walmart, Target, Sears, etc., RTD bus passes and cash.

Students and families will be identified by GW staff, and their identities will remain confidential. Your donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.  For more information, please contact sarah_hartman@dpsk12.org 720-423-8646 (GW Social Worker).

TARGET

We’ve discovered a terrific way for you to help us raise funds for our school.  All you have to do is use your REDcard (Target Visa or Target Card) and Target donates up to 1% of the amount of each purchase you make back to our school in the form of a check donation through the Target Take Charge of Education Program. Just visit Target.com/tcoe or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school, and then use your Target REDcard for your purchase.

Don’t have a REDcard?  It’s easy to apply. Just pop into any Target store to apply in person or go to Target.com/redcard and apply instantly online.

Grandparents, alumni, neighbors and friends are all welcome to participate in this program.  A big thank you to those who are currently participating.  Check out Target.com/tcoe to find out how much money our school has already received.

SCRIP

Shop with SCRIP through the Alums & Friends of GW Foundation:  (1) you can purchase cards for your every day expenses or for gifts; (2) the money earned by the Foundation because of your gift is tax deductible to you; (3) all the money earned is returned to the students and the school through the many projects of the Alums & Friends of GW.

To get started, go to www.shopwithscrip.com and use enrollment code #7L7D28BF15184. Next – select the cards you want and pay one of three ways.

1.  Use Presto Pay online which will directly debit your bank account. If you pay online, please send your contact information to Carol Abbott (see below for her address) or at Carol@ceabbott.com.
