One of the most important factors is in deciding if a college is right for you is whether or not you can picture yourself as a member of campus. For many students, this means a campus visit. If the college isn’t nearby, however, traveling to visit the college might not be possible due to financial limitations. The good news is that several colleges offer free fly-in programs, travel assistance scholarships, overnight programs, and diversity programming that comes at little or no cost to students accepted to their programs!

The GW Community Garden has been selected as a Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant recipient! The GW Grounds Committee is very thankful to Lowe’s for helping fund needs in the garden, including an automatic drip system for the school plots. The GW Grow Club will help plant and grow produce in the Community Garden over the summer. Students interested in joining the Grow Club can contact Mr. Lopez in Room 29 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All library books are due back by Monday, May 15, for Seniors, and Friday, May 26, for all other students. If you have books checked out from other school libraries, you can return them to the GW library, and we’ll send them back where they belong. Thanks!
Please remember to RSVP HERE for a 30-minute presentation that works for your schedule this Thursday in the Library. Students from our Wealth Management and Principles of Biomedical Science classes are collaborating to provide health and credit card check-ups to adults in a small group format. Students will deliver two 15-minute interactive presentations to test their audience’s knowledge and inform adults around heart health and credit card responsibility.
