  • Testing Reminders for April 9

    By in Announcements on

    GW Community –

This is a reminder that tomorrow morning, April 9, George Washington High School will be administering the PSAT9 to freshman, PSAT10 to sophomores, and SAT to juniors. This is a state test and we expect all ninth, tenth and eleventh grade students to be in attendance. Seniors will not have school on April 9 (unless they are in credit recovery), and all testing students will be dismissed for the day at the end of their testing session. These tests provide the student, families and the school with invaluable information on how well prepared students are for college and career after graduation, so please make punctual attendance a priority tomorrow.

Testing will begin promptly at 7:30am. Testing will conclude by 12:00pm (with the exception of extended time rooms) and lunch will be available until 1:00pm

Students should come prepared with a #2 pencil, calculator, and photo ID. We will have snacks available for students during breaks, and we encourage students to bring water bottles. Breakfast will be available for students as normal. Students will not have access to their lockers, so backpacks and other personal items should be left at home.

Cell phones and smart watches are the greatest challenge during testing and inappropriate access can invalidate a student’s scores and could potentially compromise other students’ scores in the testing room. To minimize the risk of having to invalidate tests we will expect all students to turn off their phones and smart watches and store them with the teacher during the entire assessment, including breaks.

Thanks you for all your support as we provide this opportunity for our students to demonstrate their learning.
