Join the GW AP Art classes of 2016-2017 for our first annual AP Art Exhibit. The exhibit will be on display from May 1 through May 15 in Pikes Peak Lobby. We will have an artists’ reception on Friday, May 12, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm with food and music to celebrate and showcase students’ hard work. Hope to see you there!

We would love members of the community to consider applying for this position, particularly if you have a love of Mathematics. It is also recommended that applicants have an ability to speak Spanish, as well as be able to collaborate well with a team.

This Saturday, May 6, join DPS Native American students and allies in a celebration of youth, culture, community, and education. The Powwow Grand Entry begins at 11:00am, and the College Fair will take place between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. The event will be held at Daniels Park (8682 N Daniels Park Rd, Castle Pines, CO). Admission and parking are free, and the public is welcome!
The GW Baseball team invites you to bring your dirty car, truck, or SUV to their car wash on Saturday, May 13. The fundraising event will be held from 9:00am – 11:00am in the south parking lot off Leetsdale Avenue. Help the Baseball team raise money, and impress your date by getting your vehicle spiffed up for Prom that evening. If you’re not attending Prom, then give a special mom in your life a car wash for Mothers’ Day, which is May 14! The car wash will cost $5 per car. Santiago’s breakfast burritos will be available for purchase, so arrive early and arrive hungry. Thanks for supporting the Patriot Baseball team!
Seniors can drop off their Prom Requirement Proof of Completion Forms to Mrs. Reid in the Future Center now! Seniors will pick their stamped forms back up from Future Center beginning today, May 1st. Check student e-mail for information regarding Senior check-out and Prom requirements.
In an effort to promote a memorable Prom experience, GW is inviting Junior and Seniors to participate in the GW Safe and Sober PROMise. When you purchase your tickets, fill out a PROMise pledge card to vow soberity on your Prom night and return it to the Main Office. Each pledge card will be placed on the PROMise board to display your commitment. You will also be entering yourself into a raffle to receive some cool prizes – GW swag, Prom Couples Tickets, or a Prom Singles Ticket. Making this promise will allow you to enjoy an evening full of fun.
Prom tickets are $35 for Singles and $60 for Couples, and are on sale from May 1 until May 12 in the Treasurer’s Office. Seniors, remember you must have your ICAP Proof of Completion Form to purchase your tickets.
The George Washington High School Dance Department presents “Can’t Stop Dancing,” their annual Spring Dance Concert. The concert will be held in the GW Auditorium on Friday, May 5, at 7:30 pm and Saturday, May 6, at 2:00pm. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. For Saturday only, advance tickets are Buy 2 Get 1 Free. Advance tickets may be purchased from dance students or from Ms. J. in the Dance Room, 127D.
