Patriots – please support the George Washington High School Girls Basketball fundrasier! The athletic programs in our school district are self-supporting and we have to raise 100% of our funds every season. Your donation is vital to the success of this program. Donations will be used to fund our entire basketball program such as new uniforms, team gear, basketballs, transportation, team shoes, and end of the year banquet costs.
If you’d like to donate, please click HERE. Our young women have been working hard to properly represent this great school and town. Any support is greatly appreciated. Go Patriots!
George Washington’s JV and Varsity Baseball teams are in the midst of a major upgrade to the baseball field in preparation for the spring season. To that end, the Patriot Baseball Organization invites you to support the team by advertising your business on an outfield fence banner. Each sign is 4 feet x 8 feet to ensure great visibility. The field is used by GW’s baseball teams from February through the end of October. Banners are removed from the fence during winter months. Sponsorship options are as follows:
Grand Slam: $1000 five-year sponsorship
Home Run: $900 four-year sponsorship
Triple: $750 three-year sponsorship
Double: $400 one-year sponsorship
If you want more information or know of a business that would be interested in advertising on our outfield fence, please contact Debbie Bishop at email@example.com, or call 303-908-6504.
Thanks for your support, and Go Patriots!
The Patriot wrestling team needs you! Wrestling preseason conditioning is happening every Monday and Wednesday from 3:30pm – 5:00pm and every Saturday from 9:00am – 11:00am in the GW Gym. This is to get ready for the season starting on Monday, November 12.
The team is looking to recruit both boys and girls. Girls wrestling is growing! Eight years ago there were 12 female wrestlers in the state, and last year there were 386. There will be all-female tournaments scheduled this year.
No experience necessary to join, just a willingness to learn something new and be part of a strong team. Speak with Coach Finesilver or Mr. Maguire for details. Let’s show Colorado what the Patriots are made of!
Andrew Younger, a junior on GW’s Boys Tennis team, had a spectacular day winning all of his matches vs Cherry Creek.
Kayla Kelley, a sophomore on GW’s Gymnastics team, competed as an all around. She was a powerhouse on the Floor and Vault, and had an excellent Beam routine.
Congratulations, as well, to Will Draper, Eli Gottesfeld, and Sam Gottesfeld on our Boys Golf team for a fantastic regular season. We look forward to all three boys competing in the 4A Regional Tournament on Tuesday.
