Coach’s Expectations: Players are required to be at every practice and game unless there are extenuating circumstances (illness, emergency, etc.). Expectations are that players give their best effort at all times, encourage their teammates, and contribute to a fun atmosphere.

Pre-Season Camp: Monday, August 5 – Thursday, August 9, 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Players are highly encouraged to attend.
First games for both Varsity and JV are on Saturday, August 17 (a few days before school starts). The season runs through mid October.
Location: GW Softball field

Coach to Student: Communication with students is frequent and almost always by text messages.
Coach to Parent: Primary communication with parents is by email.
- Players must supply their own softball gloves, shoes, and socks. Uniforms (jerseys and pants) are provided at no cost.
- DPS Athletic Fee – $60.00 ($10 for FRL students)
Parents are encouraged to help with fundraising, concession stand, and the end of season banquet. This will be discussed at the pre-season parent meeting to be held on Friday, August 16 at 5:00pm.
