AVID Hosts Adapted Physical Education Field Day
On Wednesday, May 9, AVID 11 hosted GW’s first annual Adapted Physical Education Field Day. The day was full of fun, laughs, activities, and bonding.
“My experience on Wednesday was pretty awesome simply by seeing all the Patriots with multiple disabilities look very happy, which made all the work we put in very worth it. Seeing Ben smile for the first time added to my awesome experience and I was glad seeing him have fun. Seeing some throwing balls, others dancing, and others kicking the soccer balls made me very happy due to seeing them all participating and having a good time as well as many of the AVID students too.”

“I loved it! Getting to know them and better understanding what life is like for them changed my perspective. They are amazing people and I am so blessed to have been able to become a friendly face they can recognize here at George.”
