Biography:
Mr. McHugh is a lifelong Colorado resident. His education is from Lakewood High School, Fort Lewis College (Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics) and the University of Colorado at Denver (Master of Arts in Education). His entire teaching career has been with Denver Public Schools. He lives in Lakewood with his wife and three children.

Mr. McHugh has participated in two teaching exchanges:
in 1996 he taught Math at Centennary Heights State High School at Toowoombe in Queensland, Australia, and in 2006 he taught Math at Maroba Secondary School  in  Polokwane, South Africa.
