GW Focuses on Students Earning College Credit

GW Focuses on Students Earning College Credit
August 6, 2017 GWHS

GW’s Unified Improvement Plan for the 2016-2017 school year focused on goals that would support the academic growth of our students so they would graduate high school ready for college without remediation.

As part of this work we sought to increase the opportunities available to students to earn college credit while in high school. At George we offer Concurrent Enrollment, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate courses – all of which provide students with opportunities to earn college credit. As you can see below our student’s AP scores are continuing the trend upward and, in the past year alone, we have made significant strides increasing the number of students taking advantage of our Concurrent Enrollment offerings and earning a grade of C or better.

We look forward to sharing our IB exam successes soon!
