GW Students Compete at Regional National History Day
History students from George Washington competed on Saturday, March 4, at the National History Day regional competition. Students competed in the individual/group exhibits, individual/group websites, and paper categories at the competition. These students have been working on their research projects throughout the school year, and demonstrated their passion and excitement for the topics they chose.
The top three projects in each category moved on to the state competition, which will be held at UCD in May. Congratulations to Alex Weissman, Solomon Valore-Caplan, Cormac McCrimmon, Clare Drewes, Jake Fisher, Cyrus Haas, Marin Clapper, Carolyn Gatlin, and Shahad Mohieldin, who all qualified for the state competition.
