Inaugural George Washington Scholarship Fund Event
George Washington High School is always hard at work looking for ways to support our college-bound seniors. One of George’s goals is college and career readiness for all of our students, and we recognize that for students who want to pursue higher education, there are often more barriers to college access than just academics. As part of our ongoing efforts to set our students up for success, we’re thrilled to announce the first year of GW’s new in-house scholarship fund. Intended to support college-bound seniors who need a little extra assistance, we hope to raise $5,000 for the scholarship in its inaugural year, with plans for expansion as the fund finds its feet.
If you’d like to support the scholarship and help our students achieve post-secondary success, join George at Curious Theater in Denver on Tuesday, May 23, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The event will feature food and drink from local vendors, the comedy of improve troupe Tra La La, and GW’s own teacher bluegrass band, The String Resistance. For just a $30 ticket, you will get an evening of food, drinks, entertainment, and the satisfaction of knowing that you’re supporting our incredible GW students. To purchase a ticket to the event or make an in-kind donation please contact Kelly Vigil (firstname.lastname@example.org).
