This past June George Washington was represented at the National History Day competition at the University of Maryland by John Woodliff-Stanley, Clare Drewes, Cyrus Haas and Jake Fisher. Clare, Cyrus and Jake qualified by winning the Colorado History Day competition with their group website on busing in Denver, while John qualified for the national competition by winning the state competition with his individual website on Apartheid in South Africa. All of these students represented GW proudly and were great ambassadors for the work students do here at GW. The highlight of the competition was John winning a 4-year scholarship to the University of Maryland for his individual website. Please join us in congratulating John and the rest of the National Team for all of their hard work and dedication to excellence.
