Time: 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Location: GW Library

GW students, staff, parents, guardians, and community members are invited to a presentation and discussion on gender dynamics for a new era of students. This session will provide an overview of gender identity, gender as a social concept, and review the lived experiences of transgender and gender-expansive youth in Colorado. We will engage in a discussion regarding the things we can do as peers, parents, and educators to make the George community safe and affirming for transgender and gender-expansive youth. GW’s Gay Straight Alliance will also share the most effective ways to involve and support LGBTQ+ students in and outside of school. This session will be led by Keri Smith, MA (pronouns: she, her, hers) from One Colorado and Ben Schweitzer/Peaches (pronouns: he, she, they) from Children’s Hospital Colorado.RSVP HERE
