  • P3 Community Meeting – Teen Drug Abuse and Recovery

    By in Announcements on

    Date: Wednesday, February 20, 2019
    Time: 6:30pm to 8:00pm
    Location: GWHS Library
Pizza, childcare, and interpretation services will be provided.

It has never been easier for teens to have damaging experiences for which they are not prepared. GW students, parents, and community members are invited to join Zach and Joel Appel for a thought-provoking dialogue about the experiences of both father and son after Zach’s decision, then 14, to begin using drugs and alcohol which nearly ended his life three years later. The talk will focus on behaviors and evidence that indicate a problem, parents’ enabling behaviors that seem loving but perpetuate a bad situation, the importance of healthy boundaries, and specific suggestions for keeping teens safe. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP HERE.
