GW families, do you want to get involved and make sure the IB program at George is the best it can be? If you are interested in receiving IB news for all grade levels at George, please sign up for the GWIB Broadcaster HERE. Also, all IB families are encouraged to donate a minimum of $50 per student to GW’s Friends of IB Foundation. These dues directly facilitate grants for all GW classrooms and contribute to test fees for committed IB students. They also provide stipends for George’s amazing teachers for their support of IB seniors’ Extended Essays. If you’d like to donate, please click HERE.
Are you a skilled chess player? The GW Chess Club has a challenge for you! Every Wednesday in the cafeteria, the Chess Club will set up boards for open challenges. For $1, you can purchase a game with a club member and a raffle ticket for a monthly gift card drawing. If you win your five-minute blitz game, you will win a second raffle ticket for the monthly drawing. The money the club raises will go towards chess sets, snacks, training, and tournament fees. They will face all challengers, so come by the cafeteria on Wednesdays to find out if your skills measure up!
