GWHS has discounted bus passes for $24.50. Students will need to pick up a form from the Treasurer’s Office to receive the discount. Forms and payment must be turned by the 10th of the month before the month in which the bus pass is needed; for example, forms and payment for October bus passes will need to be turned in by September 10th. There will not be any September discount bus passes available. Payments can be check, cash, or credit card.
The International Baccalaureate Latino Association will be hosting a fundraiser with Chipotle this upcoming Monday, August 28, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Please come out and enjoy dinner at Chipotle to support members in IBLA, and don’t forget to mention that you’re there for the fundraiser!
Are you a book lover? Do you want to spend a Saturday meeting authors, attending keynote speeches from Maggie Stiefvater and David Levithan, and even participating in writing workshops? Tattered Cover’s Colorado Teen Book Con is coming up on November 4, and the GW Library is taking students! Registration is free for students between ages 13 and 20, but the Con can only accept a limited number of attendees, so if you want to go, make sure you fill out the registration form HERE as soon as possible to reserve your spot. You can also visit the Tattered Cover website for more information on the Con, and a list of guests and events.
If you register, make sure to stop by the library and let Ms. Jensen or Kat know – we want to make sure we can take everyone who signs up!
