Come to the library during lunch for TED Talk Tuesday on September 19! We’ll be watching talks from Chimamanda Adichie, an essayist and novelist, and Charlie Todd, the founder of Improv Everywhere. We’re putting our no-food rule on hold, so bring your lunch and enjoy two incredible speeches.
The International Baccalaureate Black Organization (IBBO) is having its first meeting Tuesday during lunch in the IB office. It’s for highly motivated black students who want academic and financial support, help through the college process, and both peer and adult mentorship. You don’t have to be in IB to join; you just need to be academically motivated.
GW’s Collaborative School Committee is starting out the year with a full group of staff, parents, and students, but we are always looking to add to our group! If you are interested in joining the CSC, please email Scott Lessard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The primary focus of the CSC is the development and implementation of the Unified Improvement Plan (UIP). To this end, we help guide the school budget, staffing allocations, and school design, always with the goal of furthering the UIP.
Gifted and Talented Students: Central Office Coordinator Brian Beard is on site every Thursday in Library office 223E for consultation, support with the ALP process, GT Counseling, and any and all questions around what Gifted and Talented Services might be available and/or tailored to your specific GW experience.
