On Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the GW Library, a great group of GWHS graduates will return for the annual Patriot Alumni Panel. A few seats have yet to be filled, but we’re excited to announce that the panel will include:
- Emma Bakken – Kenyon College
- Isabella Gianani – George Washington University
- Rochelle Gudder – Colorado Mesa State University (after a gap year)
- Kendra Johnson – Langston University
- Julia Fontana – University of Colorado (transferred from Lewis & Clark)
- Daniel Sarche – Colorado College
- Yasmeen Cofield – University of Northern Colorado (transferred from CCD)
- Elena Staver – University of Puget Sound
Current George students and parents are invited to attend the panel event and hear about the varied paths that these recent alumni have taken. Bring your questions about the college search process, applications, financial aid, and campus life, and get answers from the experts. Pizza will be served! If you would like to attend, please RSVP HERE.
Please note that PSAT scores for 10th and 11th graders will now be released in early January. For more information, please see your counselor.
In October, George offered the PSAT/NMSQT to all Juniors in order to prepare for their SAT in April. Official PSAT scores will be available to students
on December 11through the College Board’s Student Scores website. At that time, students will be able to see their scores and link them to Khan Academy to practice for the official SAT exam. Students can visit Khan Academy’s SAT Practice website to begin their free individualized test preparation program. It is recommended that students practice 20 hours to achieve the greatest score increase.
The official Colorado SAT test date for all Juniors is Tuesday, April 10, 2018. If a student cannot make that test date due to religious or other extenuating circumstances, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 720-423-8638 to determine eligibility for the Saturday, March 10 SAT Voucher program.

This Thursday, December 14, join the GW choirs, band, and orchestra for their annual winter concert. The show starts at 6:30pm in the Auditorium. Come see what they’ve been working on all semester, and kick off your winter break celebrations with some great music!
