Please join the ByeBye Bully Club for the final speaker of its Speaker Series. Dr. Olson will be speaking on Thursday, March 15 during lunch in the GW Library, and free pizza will be served. All students, faculty, and staff are invited and welcome to attend. Also, enter the Club’s Instagram Positive Words Challenge @ByeBye.Bully, and you’ll be entered in a drawing to win an Amazon gift card.

May 11 is Prom for George Washington, and the After Prom Committee is looking for volunteers for GW’s After Prom. After Prom, which lasts from 11:00pm until 2:00am, is an annual continuation of Prom festivities for students. The Committee would also appreciate any donations for this event! Please email Ali Foster (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to volunteer at the event or donate.
Last year, George created the Patriots Scholarship, an in-house scholarship fund benefiting our high-achieving, low-income students who need a little more assistance to make their dream of college a reality. In the first year, we were able to raise over $2,500, a goal we hope to double this year.
On March 19 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm, we are hosting a night of food, drink, music, and comedy at Curious Theater in Denver, with all proceeds benefiting our Patriot Scholars. For $30 a ticket, or two for $50, you receive dinner, beer (compliments of Dry Dock Brewing Company), comedy from the student improv troupe, Pandamonium, and from the long-form troupe, tree, as well as music from a student band, ReWritten, and our teacher band, The String Resistance. Tickets can be purchased with cash or check (made out to Patriots Scholarship Fund) at the door the day of the event or by calling the GWHS treasurer, Kelly Vigil, to set up payment with a credit card. If you cannot make the event, but still wish to donate, please contact Ms. Vigil. All donations are tax-deductible, so you will receive a letter of thanks with your donated amount as proof.
If you’re planning to attend on March 19, please RSVP HERE. Thank you for supporting GW’s scholars!
