9th – 11th Graders:
On Wednesday, October 11 we will be administering the PSAT to all 11th graders and those 9th and 10th graders who registered for the test. The test will start promptly at 7:30am and should be over by 11:30am, at which point students may go home. For 9th and 10th graders who have NOT registered for the PSAT, there will be NO SCHOOL on this day.
On Wednesday, October 11 all seniors must attend a required college information session from 8:30am – 1:00pm. Seniors will learn more about graduation requirements, ICAP completion, Common App, and college and scholarship applications. Seniors will not be allowed to attend Homecoming if absent from this workshop.
We need members of the GW Community to speak for our school at upcoming Prospective Parent Coffees and Open Houses! P3 volunteers will connect with prospective parents and guardians during morning coffees to help them learn more about GW, answer their questions, and create a welcoming environment. GW Open Houses will feature a P3 table to welcome, engage, and invite prospective families to consider choosing GW for their students. P3 volunteers will share more about Proud Patriot Parents and ways to become involved. You can sign up to help with upcoming events using the form HERE. We need a diverse group of voices to spread the word about GW; we hope you will consider sharing yours!
If you were absent for picture day, you can get your school picture taken next week, on Thursday, October 5. Lifetouch will be in the GW Community Room all day to take make-up pictures. If you’d like to purchase a school picture package, you can pick up an order packet from the Main Office, Attendance Office, or the Athletic Office.
Please recognize the great work going at George Washington High School by using the form HERE to nominate a member of our staff to be Employee of the Month. The first round of nominations ends on Monday, October 2. Be expansive in your writing, as it gives us a fuller picture of the nominee. Thank you from the CSC!
