  • Senior Boot Camp

    Attention seniors: the College & Career Advising team is hosting a required boot camp on Wednesday, October 11. All seniors are required to attend this day in order to learn about graduation requirements, college applications, and financial aid. Boot camp will begin at 8:00am in the Gym. If you do not attend senior boot camp, you will not be allowed a ticket to Homecoming. Please see your College & Career Advisor in the Success Center if you have any questions.

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences

    Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. Parents and guardians can stop by the cafeteria at any time during those hours to speak with teachers regarding the progress of their students. To make sure everyone has time to speak with each of their students’ teachers, we will be limiting conversations to 10 minutes per teacher. If you need more time with a teacher, please reach out to them to schedule an appointment for a conference on another day.

  • Free Concert Contest at GWHS

    Do you want to go to a concert right here at GW? KS 107.5 is giving the school with the most spirit the opportunity to host a concert from one of Billboard’s Top 100 Artists, and George is in the running! All you have to do is listen to KS 107.5, and text Patriots, GW, or George Washington High School to their text line, 69803, at any time of the day. The more texts we get, the closer we are to winning the contest. Tell your family and friends, and let’s show DPS that we have spirit!

  • P3 Volunteers Needed to Host College Visits

    The GW Future Center will be hosting a full schedule of visits from colleges and universities this fall. Parents, please consider giving a little of your time to help host these visits. Your work will entail greeting and escorting the College Reps, handling student sign in and collecting student passes, and facilitating the conversation between College Reps and GW students.   • P3 Community Meeting – College Planning and Self-Advocacy

    Please join us for a valuable information session on college planning and student self-advocacy. The GW Future Center, GW College and Career Advisors, and College Planning Experts Dr. Steven Antonoff and Scott Moser will host a college planning night for GW students, parents, guardians, and community members. Topics to be addressed include finding the right college for you, different academic pathways offered at GW, ACT/SAT test prep, and financial planning.
    Snacks, childcare, and interpretation services will be provided. Please RSVP HERE. We look forward to seeing you for this worthwhile evening!
