Tessa McEvoy Selected for Mars Generation’s 24 Under 24

Tessa McEvoy was recently named one of The Mars Generation’s 24 Under 24 for Leaders and Innovators in STEAM and Space. She was anonymously nominated and competed against many talented student scientists, entrepreneurs, engineers, and artists from all over the world.

Tessa created a coloring book, titled “Color Me Mars Generation,” for The Mars Generation’s anniversary. The 24-page book is available for download from the organization’s website HERE for all ages to enjoy. The coloring book details the adventures of Jess and Astronaut Abby (founder of The Mars Generation) as they make the trip to Mars, and highlights women in history who have advanced the science of space travel. Tessa has also been publishing a cartoon about Jess, “Space Cadet Wannabe,” for over two years via Twitter.

Tessa transferred to GW from Girls Athletic Leadership School to take advantage of the wonderful art department we have here at George, and she is planning on attending the University of Colorado at Denver to major in illustration and animation.
