Think It Up
George Washington hosted the Think It Up competition on Thursday and had three groups submit entries. Two out of the three made it to the final round and won 750 dollars. Congratulations to Mr. Bolz group and Mrs. Richason’s Color group for making it to the final round. This was a wonderful event that supported students and teachers creating changes in our school. Mayor Hancock was also here to support. The groups did the school proud. CONGRATULATIONS!
At Think It Up Live, teachers along with 2-4 of their students in grades 7-12 (age 13+) worked together to come up with a project idea — with support from local and national experts — and then pitched it to a team of judges. All participating teams were awarded a $100 DonorsChoose.org funding credit to kick-start their project, and the winning team received $1,000 to help bring their idea to life.
