Every year the Patriot Pairs Mentoring Program Board of Directors funds scholarships of at least $1,000 as well as a laptop to one or more graduating Patriot Pairs mentees. We are thrilled to announce that 2020 graduates Kingbed Agyeman and Mharques Harrington were awarded the scholarship this past spring.

Kingbed Agyeman enjoyed an impressive four years at George, excelling both in and out of the classroom. An Honor Roll student, Kingbed approached both his his school work and athletics pursuits with a passion and drive that earned him a basketball scholarship to University of Northern Texas in Denton, Texas. Congratulations, Kingbed!

Mharques Harrington was an engaged member of the GW community, participating in the Patriots Pair Program all four years. During his junior and senior years, Mharques was a member of the GWHS baseball and football teams. As a senior, he was also a member of Student Council. Mharques’ dream is to one day become a veterinarian. To begin that journey, he will attend Metropolitan State University with a major in Animal Science.
