Dear GW Community –
I owe you an apology for the outcome of last night’s awards ceremony. We intended to present a celebratory event that recognized our students for their hard work and dedication to their education. There is no excuse for how the event was run, but I want to make sure you know that the poor logistics of the evening in no way speak to a lack of regard for our students. We as an administration and teaching staff are incredibly impressed and wowed by our students on a daily basis. We know that parents have worked just as hard to support their children and last night was meant to be a public acknowledgement of the collective effort put into succeeding academically. Thank you to all of the families who came out last evening – it is a high point of my year to see our community coming together to celebrate our students.
If you were unable to join us last night please read below for information about picking up your certificate. If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to contact me.
Speaking of rockstar students, I would like to give a shout out to our DPS League Champions: Girls Swimming, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, and Cheerleaders.
