CareerConnect Round Up – March 2017

Congratulations to GWHS BusinessConnect student Kai Suematsu on being recognized at the Colorado State Capitol as a Stellar Student for House District 6! We admire your leadership, civic engagement, and drive to improve your community. Thank you to Representative Chris Hansen for taking the time to acknowledge such a great young man.

Thank you to the Community College of Denver Health Sciences Campus for hosting our GW CareerCoach and Future Choices students last week! Our students got the chance to learn about exciting opportunities in Veterinary Medicine, Medical and Nurse Assisting, Radiological Sciences, Phlebotomy, and Dental Hygiene. Not only are our students better informed, but several graduating seniors plan to apply to the CNA program immediately!

Pinnacol Assurance visited George Washington last week, and announced their intent to recruit and hire 25 students to be a part of the inaugural CareerResidency cohort. In this unique opportunity, perspective candidates will enter into a 2-3 year cohort where they will earn their high school diploma, workforce experience, and an Associates Degree, all paid for by DPS.
