By Email: All staff members are assigned an email account through Denver Public Schools. When emailing staff, please allow 48 hours for a response. Emails are usually the best method of communication.
PARENT / TEACHER CONFERENCES
School-wide conferences are held once each semester, look for information in the Patriot Community Newsletter. Individual conferences can be scheduled throughout the year with your child’s school counselor. If an interpreter is needed, please contact your student’s counselor at least two weeks prior to the conference.
ROBO CALL MESSAGES
Time-sensitive, important messages will be sent to all households via phone and email blasts. Announcements will be on the website. Please make sure your telephone numbers and email addresses are accurate in our database which can be done through the attendance office.
Weekly email newsletters are mailed every Thursday to the email address listed in Parent Portal. If you believe you should be receiving these emails and are not, please contact Mary Lane at email@example.com.
If your child is out of school 3 or more days, work can be requested through your student’s counselor and picked up in the main office. Please allow 48 hours for work to be requested from teachers. Absences must be excused by email firstname.lastname@example.org or call attendance line 720-423-8642. Please refer to the student handbook for acceptable excused absences.
INFINITE CAMPUS (PARENT PORTAL)
Denver Public Schools uses the Infinite Campus (parent portal), student information system to manage student data, including grades, attendance records, and schedules. The purpose of this system is to communicate with parents/guardians regarding their student’s academics and attendance. In order to access the site, parents/guardians need a username and password to log on. If you do not have a username and password, please sign-up at myportal.dpsk12.org.
PROGRESS REPORTS / REPORT CARDS
All progress reports/report cards are paperless. Student’s progress grades are entered every six weeks. A final transcript/report card is sent home at the end of the year.
