GW JROTC Competes in First Northern Plains Drill Meet
On Saturday, February 17, 32 cadets from the 6th Battalion JROTC from George Washington HS traveled to Loveland High School to compete in the Northern Plains Drill Meet against 8 other teams from Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine JROTC Programs. When the final awards were presented, GW cadets won 1st place in Armed Exhibition, 2nd place in Unarmed Exhibition, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Individual Armed Exhibition, and 1st and 2nd place in two-man Armed Exhibition.
This was the first competition for GW Cadets of the spring drill season. Upcoming competitions include the Fountain-Fort Carson Drill Meet, the Denver All-City Drill Meet, and the Rocky Mountain Regional Drill Meet.
