JROTC Finishes Up a Year of Successes

The JROTC at GW has had quite a year! The battalion turned in more than 1200 hours of school and community service this school year and will be adding 230 more hours working at the Colfax Marathon this weekend. They participated in 3 state-wide drill meets, 21 rifle matches, 3 Raider Challenge competitions and two rounds of the on-line JROTC National “Brain Bowl.”

The Girls Honor Platoon took 1st Place Overall at the Rocky Mountain Regional Drill Meet at the Denver Coliseum on April 18th. Several men, notably Eli Bartlett, Joe Coulombe, Sergio Quezada and Giovanni Waldo, won or placed in 1-Man, 2-Man or 4-Man drill at the same meet.
