National History Day Competition
On February 27th students from George Washington competed in the Denver competition for National History Day. This competition requires students to choose a research topic that aligns with this year’s theme of “Exploration, Encounters and Exchange In History”. Students from George Washington choose to complete in a variety of categories ranging from Historical Paper to Documentaries. The top three projects from each category earned the opportunity to represent George Washington at the State competition April 30th hosted by the University of Colorado, Denver at Auraria Campus. George Washington qualified 11 projects and 17 students for the state competition.
