Online Learning Overview
GW’s Online Learning Plan was developed with an understanding that both our students and faculty have additional responsibilities to balance while we follow the stay-at-home orders. We feel strongly that simplicity is important as we move into online learning and this belief is reflected in our online-learning plan. GW’s staff will conduct a regular cycle of evaluation and adjustment to ensure that our online-learning system is meeting the needs of our students during this unprecedented time in our lives.
On April 3, DPS announced that all schools will continue remote learning for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year. This means GW will not reopen this academic year for in-person classes. While this impacts the GW community as a whole, we know that for our seniors this is especially sad news at a monumental time in their lives. We will be reaching out to the Class of 2020 specifically in the next few weeks.
We are saddened for our entire community, but we know how critically important it is to stay home in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. We will do everything we can to keep our vibrant community connected, learning, inspired, and supported as we navigate this new way of life together.
