Students Deliver Messages to GW Staff for #DPSConnects
According to Sources of Strength, 2% to 3% of students in any given school do not identify any other students as friends and are not identified as friends by any other students. This leaves those students in a very isolated space, and DPS is on a mission to help those students feel more welcome and invested in their school communities.
As part of that mission, April 23 – 27 is #DPSConnects week here at George! 20 GW students volunteered for an “Inspiration Project” to help all staff and students feel connected, valued, and inspired. These students chose and decorated special messages, and delivered them to every staff member and every classroom on April 23.
Many thanks to our student volunteers: Sam Nguyen, Citlaly Lopez-Juarez, Manzer Montgomery, Diana Olague-Mena, Emily Medina, Daniel Bogachov, Angel Ceballos-Reyes, Cristian Juarez-Ramirez, Chantrell McLamb, Jaime De Loera, Euan Peart, Solomon Reinhorn, Ellie Lozow, Zach Tsao, Michelle Jargalsaikhan, Erick Cabrera-Munoz, Alex Rocha, and Jacqueline Valenzuela.
