Every DPS student will be issued a new Chromebook for the 21-22 school year. If a student currently has a DPS Chromebook checked out, they will return it when they check out their new device. We are hosting Chromebook checkout events before school starts so that students can be ready to go on their first day of school! Please check out the dates and times below and mark your calendars. While we encourage everyone to get their device before school starts, we understand these times might not work for everyone and will have additional opportunities the first week of school. Freshmen Only – As students depart Ninth Grade Academy on Thursday, freshmen will have the opportunity to checkout their new Chromebook for the 21-22 school year. If you still have a DPS Chromebook from middle school, be sure to bring this with you to return it at this time as well.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
The first day of school for 9th and 10th graders is Monday, August 23. All grades will report on Tuesday, August 24. Check out our school calendar HERE.
REQUIRED REGISTRATION FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
All students are required to verify their enrollment for the upcoming school year by completing online registration starting July 30. This must be completed by August 13. Click HERE for instructions.
CLASS SCHEDULES AND SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUESTS
When Can I See My Schedule?
Class schedules are not final until Tuesday, August 17. Right now advisors are carefully reviewing each student’s schedule to ensure you have the classes you need, as well as ensuring that class sizes are balanced. Schedules may be visible in IC before this time, but it is important to know that they will likely change as advisors complete this important process. We will provide detailed instructions on how to view your schedule on Tuesday, August 17.
How Do I Request A Schedule Change?
Schedule changes will not be made for period or teacher preference. Schedule changes are for compelling academic reasons only:
- Graduation Requirement
- College Requirements
- Strengthening of schedule (level changes)
Schedule change requests will be considered on the following dates and times in the Community Room:
- Seniors: Tuesday, August 24 from 8:00am – 8:40am and 12:25pm – 1:10pm
- Juniors: Wednesday, August 25 from 8:00am – 8:40am and 12:10pm – 12:55pm
- Sophomores: Thursday, August 26 from 9:30am – 10:10am and 12:10pm – 12:55pm
- Freshman: Friday, August 27 from 8:00am – 8:40am and 12:25pm – 1:10pm
