All students are invited to attend Mini Comic Con 3 at the Sam Gary Library on December 8, from 10am to 4pm. Organized with help from local students, including one of your peers from George, the Con will celebrate all pop culture fandoms. Join us for facepainting, buttonmaking, green screen photos, and other activities. The Con will feature over 30 Colorado comic book creators. Cosplay is welcome! Click HERE for more information. We hope to see you there!
Patriots – please support the George Washington High School Girls Basketball fundrasier! The athletic programs in our school district are self-supporting and we have to raise 100% of our funds every season. Your donation is vital to the success of this program. Donations will be used to fund our entire basketball program such as new uniforms, team gear, basketballs, transportation, team shoes, and end of the year banquet costs.
If you’d like to donate, please click HERE. Our young women have been working hard to properly represent this great school and town. Any support is greatly appreciated. Go Patriots!
Proud Patriot Parents, join our annual celebration for our hard working teachers and staff at George with a dessert extravaganza on Friday, December 14. Please sign up to contribute cookies, brownies, your family’s secret holiday fruit cake, or something else sweet to thank our teachers, especially during the busy month of December. Sign up HERE!
Seniors, are you interested in going to technical college next year? At a technical college, you can get a certificate or apprenticeship and begin working in a highly specific field or trade, like dental and nurse assistance, welding, cosmetology, and more. If you’d like to find out, come to the Future Center (Room 113) and ask about the upcoming GW field trip to Emily Griffith Technical College on Friday, December 7. If you received a slip from the Future Center and would like to go but have not selected your preference, stop by and secure your spot ASAP!
The GW Library Open Mic Night is being rescheduled for the week after Fall Break. That gives you extra time to work on a piece of writing or music to perform for your peers! If your performance is five minutes or less and you want to share your work in a supportive environment, stop by the Library and talk to Ms. Jensen or Ms. Kat.
