It is with great pride and enthusiasm that George Washington High School announces the induction of ten exceptional individuals into its esteemed Hall of Fame. Yolanda Johnson, Chris Brewer, Vaughn Williams, Craig Silverman, Dave Arterberry, Debbie Lee, Tom Asbury, Debbie Stark, Dianne Reeves, and Bruce Hellerstein have all been unanimously elected to the George Washington High School Hall of Fame by the board members in a recent executive session.

These remarkable individuals have demonstrated unparalleled dedication, achievement, and community involvement, exemplifying the very essence of George Washington High School’s core values. Their contributions span a wide range of fields, reflecting the diverse and dynamic nature of our school’s alumni network.

“We are thrilled to welcome this outstanding group of individuals into the George Washington High School Hall of Fame. Their accomplishments and impact are a testament to the values we hold dear as an institution, and they serve as inspirational role models for our current students,” said Brendan Netherton, Athletic Director at George Washington High School. “We invite them to join us in celebrating their achievements during our upcoming Homecoming festivities.”

Yolanda Johnson will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during George Washington’s Homecoming Football game, scheduled for Thursday, August 31 at All-City Stadium (located at Denver South High School) at 6:00pm. The other 9 inductees will be honored on Friday, September 1 during an all-school assembly in the George Washington High School Auditorium at 2:30pm.

During these events, the 2023 Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced to students, faculty, and the broader community, allowing them to share their experiences, insights, and wisdom. This unique opportunity will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the George Washington High School community, inspiring current and future generations to pursue excellence.
