I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Rice University, and received my Physician Assistant Master’s degree from Baylor College of Medicine. I have been a Physician Assistant (PA) for 11 years, mostly in pediatric and adolescent health at Denver Health both in outpatient primary care and in the ER. Prior to my career in medicine, I worked in education ? For several years, I worked as a high school math teacher, a tutor, and a college counselor in Houston, Texas. I love living in Colorado although I cannot claim native status…originally I am from Brazil. I moved to the US when I was 7 years old with my family, and I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. I am trying so hard to teach my 8 year old daughter these languages, and while she understands most everything, the response is usually in English. I LOVE my work in school-based health, and can’t wait to get things rolling at GW!
